Local Football Star Stands Strong for Local Flooring Business
You may know Dalton Risner as a second-year offensive lineman for the Denver Broncos who was a second-round draft pick and earned All-Rookie honors after starting 16 games at left guard in his first year. But more than a pro football player, Dalton has a passion for helping others, too. The Wiggins-CO native has made it a priority to give back to his community through his RisnerUp Foundation, as well as to support local businesses like Sloane’s Carpet Secret, Loveland Ford and the Colorado Beef Council.
“Sloane’s is a family-owned business,” explains Risner, who grew up helping out on his family’s ranch. “It’s run by real people who value good customer service, and they’ve grown by positive word-of-mouth.”
“We’re really excited to have Dalton as our brand ambassador,” comments Josh Alban, Owner of Sloane’s Carpet Secret. “He’s obviously a superstar who’s local like us. But more than that, Dalton has shown his dedication to helping others through organizations like Special Olympics, Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and his own foundation.” That aligns with the Sloane’s mission to support worthwhile efforts in Denver, too. Alban explains that Sloane’s donates regularly to SafeHouse-Denver, an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children.
Risner will appear at Sloane’s Carpet Secret on Sunday, April 25 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. to sign autographs and help support the store’s Great Recovery Carpet Sale, which offers an additional 25% off all carpet and padding to customers who sign up for its Preferred Customer program.
“This is a win-win for everybody,” adds Risner. “You get the best deals on the best carpet from an independent, local store. And I get to meet and sign autographs with Sloane’s great customer base.”
