A carpet that does not meet exact mill specifications in some very minor way. We hand select our carpeting to make sure irregularities are minimal. All carpets from Sloane’s are guaranteed.
There are many types of irregularities. However, the irregularities Sloane’s carries never effect the durability or wear. Our buyers only purchase Grade-A irregulars that are very very minor. The imperfections are usually so minimal that we frequently have to point it out to customers, and even then you have to look hard to see it. Examples may include: the color may be “off” from mill specifications, perhaps the carpet width may be 1/2 inch narrow, perhaps the carpet might have subtle lines that “disappear” after the carpet is vacuumed, or perhaps the mill might have discontinued that particular style. In every case, our customers will inspect the carpet prior to pickup or carpet installation. In fact, Sloane’s will only install carpet that customers have inspected and approved.
We carry carpets from the premier carpet manufacturers that you’ll find in all of our competitor’s showrooms, plus luxury brands you might not yet have heard about.

We have a wide range of middle to high-end carpet padding available. Recent technological breakthroughs have engineered pads that are vastly superior to the basic “rebond” pad that is usually used. Speak to an experienced Sloane’s team member for the most appropriate options for your home.
You may use your own installer or we will be happy to recommend a Master Installer to perform the installation. (Sorry, our Master Installers only work on materials purchased at Sloane’s.)
The most important step in caring for your carpet is vacuuming. Vacuum thoroughly and frequently, particularly in high-traffic areas. React quickly to stains and spills; do not allow them to “set.” Bear in mind that walking on soiled carpet permits the soil particles to work their way below the surface of the yarn/pile where they are far more difficult to remove and can damage the fibers. Frequent vacuuming removes these particles from the surface before this happens. Properly maintaining your new carpet or floor covering will insure years of enjoyment from it.
