What Do You Mean by “Irregulars”?
Our buyers hand-select carpet with minor irregularities in color, width or another variation from mill specification. These irregularities are minor and you always inspect your purchase before leaving the warehouse.
Selecting the correct color carpet is the first and, perhaps, the most important consideration. Color beauty is a matter of personal preference, but color can also serve other, more practical purposes. Light-colored carpets make smaller rooms seem larger, especially if the walls are white or a lighter tint of the carpet color. To help pick the perfect color, bring paint color or wallpaper samples, pillows or swatches of fabric from your furniture such as an arm rest cover.
See Carpet StylesColor is only part of carpet beauty. Texture adds yet another dimension. From the smooth, sweeping elegance of velvet to the distinctive appeal of a pebbly frieze, the texture of carpet brings interest, excitement and drama to your décor. There are a variety of carpet textures to choose from.
LCL (Loop Cut Loop): LCL (Loop Cut Loop) carpets are some of the newest and most popular styles of carpeting. They are a combination of twist (plush) fibers and loop fibers. Some of these carpets have very elaborate designs, while others may only have a small pattern design. They are an excellent choice for high use rooms as the designs hide traffic and soiled areas.
Velvet: The ultimate in elegance, cut pile carpets have all the pile fibers blending together to give you an ultra-smooth sweep of rich, luxurious color.
Frieze: The most rugged of cut pile carpets. Tightly twisted yarns curl back onto themselves, creating a distinctive nubby look or pebbled texture overall.
Textured Plush: Versatile beauty in cut pile. Not as formal as a velvet but easier to live with. The degree to which each individual tuft is visible in the pile creates a wide range of subtly different effects.
Tone on Tone Styles: A tone-on-tone carpet takes a solid colored carpet and introduces a random dye pattern to it. The effect hides everyday dirt and makes tone-on-tone carpets easy to care for.
Patterned Carpet: A patterned carpet creates a “WOW” impression. Change the entire mood of your home by installing a floral, traditional, or contemporary pattern. Easy to decorate, this classic styling is a high performer and easy to live with.
Found Sloane’s Carpet Secret company purely by chance. Did a search on the web and found good reviews, so we decided to go take a look even though it was on the opposite side of town from us……GLAD we did! Found exactly what we were looking for and for about half the price we were quoted from everyone else. They even held the carpet for us till we were ready so we could paint the house before carpet went in. The installer was awesome and worked around our schedule. He had the entire house done in one day!
