Free Things, Free Events and Bargains in Denver, Colorado

Do you like free things, free events and bargains? So do we! Here is a list of freebies and some fun things to do here in Denver, Colorado.

•    Denver Museum of Nature and Science – Visit the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for FREE on Sunday, May 12th! They will have several activities like face painting, science and craft creations, and more. You must be a Colorado resident to gain free admission.  IMAX films and planetarium shows are extra. •    Walgreens – Just in time for Mother’s Day! Free 8×10 Collage Print through Saturday. Walgreens is offering a completely-free 8×10 collage print through Saturday, May 11th! Just visit their website and create your collage, then use code COLLAGE4YOU to get it for free! If you choose to pick it up in the store, you won’t have to pay a shipping charge.

•    2013 Five Points Jazz Festival – This festival will be held on May 18th from 11a.m. – 8p.m. This free community event celebrates the music, culture and history of Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood, with performances highlighting many of Denver’s finest jazz musicians. Performances and activities take place in numerous venues in Historic Five Points, with food and art vendors along Welton Street.

•    Dinosaur Discovery Day at Dinosaur Ridge — Dinosaur tracks sit atop layers of sand and mudstone, the pads of the toes and patterns of migration seen in over 300 footprints and 37 trackways. Geology exhibits and hands-on fossil exhibits at the Visitor Center. Expert guides are stationed along the Dinosaur Ridge Trail at the most significant interpretive sites. Visitors hike at their own pace or take the Shuttle Bus (one way) at $3 per person (three and under ride free). Saturday, May 11, 2013 is FREE!
