Central Park went up on the old Stapleton airport site starting in 2002, so the first wave of houses is into its third decade while the newest blocks off Beeler Park and Conservatory Green are barely broken in. The street design is what makes the flooring work here distinctive: alley-loaded lots, narrow footprints and a lot of three-story row homes, which means a job in this neighborhood is usually more stairs and landings than wide-open floor. The early Stapleton-era homes are the ones we see most, and that original builder carpet has now had twenty years of a neighborhood full of kids and dogs.
