What You Need for Refurbishing Furniture
So, you have your furniture. Now what? Make sure you have all of your supplies beforehand. Before going out to get these supplies, inspect your furniture for damages.

Getting your supplies beforehand also requires you to think about what you want to do with your furniture, which is good. Grab that wood putty or filler to repair any cracks or dents in your furniture. After that dries, you are ready to paint or stain, and it will look good as new! If you are not sure where your furniture will eventually live and you need it to match any room in your home, go with a simple stain or paint the item black or white. For fabric repairs, use patches or just thread to repair tears or frays. Reupholstering fabric is more complicated—but still very doable!—and we recommend a step-by-step tutorial like this one. When you are finished with your project, you will be pleasantly surprised at the results and the weight of your wallet!
