Sloane’s Carpet Colorado Facebook Contest Winner
We hope you are having a great start to this beautiful Colorado Fall. As you may have heard, we ran a Facebook contest that ended on October 30th. The contest was simple: nominate your favorite non-profit or charitable organization for free carpet. We asked everyone who participated in the event to tell us a story of why their favorite charity deserved the carpet.
The contest was a complete success! We got so many entries and so many great stories on these organizations. As hard as it was to choose just one, we narrowed our choice down to Kavod Senior Life. Here’s some information on Kavod Senior Life and what they do:
Kavod Senior Life (formerly Allied Jewish Apartments) is a lively, inclusive and integral part of the Denver community. Kavod (Hebrew for respect) is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable and subsidized Senior Living and Assisted Living apartment homes and services for adults 62 years of age and older and people with disabilities. Our goal is to help our residents’ age well and in place, with dignity and respect. Kavod housing and services are available to all faiths and ethnicities.
Kavod’s mission is to provide life-enriching experiences for our residents through a broad range of housing and support services. Kavod’s residents participate in social events and classes that are held in an area we refer to as the Penthouse. The carpeting in the Penthouse is presently very old, dark and in poor condition. Kavod Senior Life was notified directly and the results of the contest were announced on our Facebook Page.
