Great Wines Under $15
Who doesn’t like to bask in the summer sun while enjoying a delicious glass of wine? This situation is even better, however, if your glass of wine doesn’t break the bank. Finding a wine that is both tasty and inexpensive can be tricky, but our Denver carpet experts at Sloane’s Carpet Secret are here to help you out! Below you will find a list of some of our favorite wines, all of which are under $15.
2013 Apothic Winemakers Red Blend
This lovely red, made with California grapes, is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. It is smooth and fruity and will go perfectly with a backyard barbecue.
2013 Broadbent Vinho Verde
This particular wine is made in Portugal and translates literally to “green wine.” It is a dry wine that is slightly fizzy and has summer written all over it! It is light and refreshing—we recommend bringing it to a picnic or using it for white sangria.
2010 Finca El Encinal Ribera del Duero Crianza
Ribera del Duero is a small community close to La Rioja in Spain. This community produces amazing wines with little production costs, therefore keeping the price down for you. This particular bottle is a full red with complex flavors that will keep you intrigued.
2009 Mouton Cadet Bordeaux Blanc
This white tastes like summer, with prominent flavors of peaches, grapefruit and honeysuckle. It pairs well with summer salads and seafood dishes.
2010 Remy Pannier Rosé d’Anjou
We know that rosés are not everybody’s favorite, and it can be difficult to find one that doesn’t just taste like juice. This one, however, is sure to please. It is so refreshing after a hot day and combines flavors of raspberries, cranberries and rhubarb with a hint of mint.
